Growth of production indicators of Korshunovsky GOK

In February 2020, Korshunovsky GOK revealed an increase in production indicators compared to the same period last year. There was an increase in Stripping operations by 65 percent, and the dynamics of iron ore production was 22 percent.
At the Korshunovsky and Rudnogorsk fields, the total production volume in the period under review increased to 650 thousand tons. The processing plant was provided with high-quality iron ore raw materials. The Chelyabinsk metallurgical plant, also part of the Mechel Group, supplies the resulting concentrate.
The development of the ore body in the southern direction of the Rudnogorsk quarry had an impact on the growth of overburden and mining volumes.
Technical re-equipment and the repair and restoration program played an important role in the growth of indicators.
Mikhail Mazhukin, managing Director of PJSC KGOK, said: "in 2020, KGOK plans to update the equipment at the processing plant, which will increase production capacity by 30 percent."
